Try doing a tighter crop. I'm a fan of giving the animals "room to breath" in photographs, but in your shot there is so much background that the actual toad is difficult to concentrate on.

Good DOF example.. but on the larger shot on Flickr, it is possible to see that the shot is soft. Have you sharpened it? If not.. give it a good crop, and sharpen it up, and repost it!
