Hey gang,

Decided to head out to Zilker Botanical Gardens early this morning with my two oldest sons since Kenny (Kenj8246) mentioned he may be there. Well we met up at the back side of the gardens. It was nice meeting Kenny!
Here are some from this trip. All captured with a Canon 30D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro and this DIY ring-flash:

LOL! I made myself the same ringflash a couple of weeks ago (although yours looks a bit prettier than mine)! I use my old Vivitar 283 with it so I can keep my 430 in the camera bag. I also use a 30D and 100mm f2.8 ... I haven't had the chance to put it to the test yet, but your pix are very encouraging! I love the weevil.

Nice. My favorite is the fly, great colors. Makes me want to go out and use my new macro lens that I just bought.
