Yea this sky chart is nice. i cant use it though does not find my land hehe.
Unfortunately I hear that a lot. It's my understanding that the guy who does this gets his data from national weather and atmospheric forecasts but then translates them into the charts that are easy to use for astronomers. You could easily look up your local winds, cloud coverage, transparency, temperature, etc. I'm not sure how he derives the "seeing" conditions ... I only know that it's usually based on whether they expect upper atmosphere turbulence. He also factors in darkness which I think is just the Bortle scale (Bortle Dark-Sky Scale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) based on the light pollution levels near you.
