Took a different look...

While out and about this weekend I happened upon this shot. It was a different look at something I see quite a lot...

You have a lot of "glommy" stuff showing in the water and a nasty dust bunny, upper middle right. I tried to make it work as a B&W and could not and it doesn't work for me in color, either. Can't help make an improvement. Sorry.

That ain't water, that's the arch in St Louis. I think a lot of the "glommy stuff" in the water is actually discolorations in the metal surface, though the dust bunny is real and once seen hard to un-see!

I like it pretty well. This shot does get taken from time to time, but I think the color and the reflection of the upper arch give a nice touch here. "well seen" as the kids say.

Now that I see what it Is an the angle taken, I understand the shot better...I would clone out the gloms anyway and the dust bunny. Maybe if the sky was darker, I could like it more.

Yes, it is the Gateway Arch (and it needs to be cleaned)! I did find the offending dust bunny and relieved myself of it though not in time for the shot, more's the pity!
