A quick how to....for what? His face is still very blotchy, the shadows are still very evident, and the overall quality of the picture/color isnt any better than the original.

I realize that I may have a few problem areas w/my edit, but I also realize that original didnt leave me w/much to work with. The original was dark, full of shadows, and not mention very BlURRY.

Could the retouched photo need some red eye reduction perhaps?

No, I thought so too, but it is just flash reflection. I tried to correct it w/red eye correction and looks awful....his entire eye becomes black.

Also.. I dont know if anyone mentioned this.. and I apologize if they have.. The whites of his eyes are to white.

I see that they do look a little too white on here, but in all honesty I have printed the image and they look fine.....thanks though.

Thanks for all the comments. The overall goal and wish of the mother and boy wasnt just to get rid of the acne, but to improve the image. The are happy w/it.

I think something subtle would have worked better in my opinion.

I really don't like photos that have been heavily edited that you can tell have been.
