Went to the local rose garden. I need to work on my colors and exposure levels. I had a hard time, of course I only had time over lunch so the sun was rather strong!

I like the concept, but purely from a pictorial point-of-view, there is too much DOF, and we have to work at seeing the bee among the flowers. I know that a shallow DOF would have made nailing the focus that much harder, but these images really are asking for a clear separation of the subject from the background. I am not bothered by the slight movement of the wings - it adds to the flying feeling. However, the focus point is not really nailed, and that reduces the impact of the images.

I'm sure trying to catch a tiny insect in motion has got to be tough! I laughed with the title :)

Thank you. I used a much shallower DOF on my other bee pictures. I thought this time I'd switch it up.

It's actually easier than I initially thought. Of course this bee was about the size of a quarter, so that made it a bit easier. And as an additional challenge, I only used manual focus. No AF for me!
