I was interested in learning more about when this forum was created, by who, who were the first couple of mods, and other random stuff about this site too.

It was created by me in early 2003. Original moderator was MDowdey, followed by Voodoocat and Manda I believe.

What other random stuff are you looking for?

Was it an instant success or did it take a while? And, when did it really take off?

I'd say it was pretty much a slow, steady climb. I guess it sort of depends what you would consider "success"? I'd say things really picked up over the past year or so. Honestly, other than some work I did early on to get on the search engines, I haven't done much else to promote the site. I would imagine I could have got things off to a faster start if I had tried more ways of promoting.
