Hi guys,
after years of Point'n'Shoot, here are my first pictures taken with my brandnew, shiny Canon EOS 400D. :D Critique encouraged!

happy new year,

Beautiful shots. #1 and #4 are my favorites. They have like an IR feel to them.
However you need to learn how to scale down a photo properly for internet usage. You have lost a lot of detail here. The trick is to scale it down a little at a time, like 500 px. Sometimes sharpen a little etc. You will get much more detail and sharpness!

Thanks for your answer! Are you talking about the preview pictures visible in my post or the hi-res versions? Because the preview sizes are automatically generated by flickr.

No I'm talking about the bigger versions in the links.

Really like #1 and #3, but Rabieshund is right, some sharpness as unfortunately been lost in saving them for web use.

Still, awsome pictures, a lot of mood and feeling in each one :D

Very nice,k although I find #3 a bit strange with the sunbeams coming out of a white sky
