I'm no pro this is for sure, but something I see right off is I would have shot it at an angle instead of a direct side shot.

I like the color one better and would have to agree with Terry on the different angle. Doesn’t look like you can move the tractor or trees so you could try a more frontal approach and maybe (camera) lower to the ground or even a different time of day.

I agree with ^^^. The shot seems very "flat". Taking the shot from a different angle will give the tractor depth and make it feel less static.

Just my opinion.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. The 'flat' look is something I noticed as well. I'll re-try the shot from some different angles.

All the dead trees right behind it are quite distracting.

I looks like it was shot mid-day from the shadows, i would go back 1 hour before sun down shoot from a better angle with 3 off camera flashes

I agree with him ^^ You need some kind of light on the subject to separate it from the busy background.

Color looks better IMHO.
