Travel Lens?

Well it's nikon glass so..................

But really it's a newish first-party lens, so odds are it's going to be very good. maybe rent it for the trip then think about buying.

I rented the Canon counter part for 2 weeks and it was only $100. But I loved the lens for video.

i want to say that one of our regular members...sparky or mana? has the NEW 24-120 f/4 VR lens and had nothing but good things to say about it. i thought i remembered them doing a pretty good review on it a while back, but i cant seem to remember exactly who it was that had it. either way, i DO remember that they were very pleased with it.

It's not as good as the canon version but I hear the sigma art version is really good.

I know what you shoot lol. Just saying that from what I've read is that the sigma is better than the nikon version

Busy strap a gopro on your chest for the trip. Pull stills from it later.

If it were me I would bring 3 primes. 2 that are pocketable and one for my wife's purse, lol.

I think Trever needs the gopro and a hot shoe mount for it. That way he can do video tutorials of his photo shoots. Just me thinking out loud again.

I don't want to get into a new kit where I'd be buying a new line of glass and I don't want to bring 3 lenses. Again, I have nice glass for specific purpose but I'm just going to visit my sister for a week and don't want to lug a lot of gear...if I can avoid it
