Tree in the Spotlight

Good evening!

I was pretty enamored yesterday with this tree shining beneath a natural spotlight. I toyed with a very different edit, but this one came out ahead in the end! It still hard to believe the leaves are already shifting.

My mantra, indeed! At one point in my journey, I would shoot everything, even if i *knew* the light wasn't great. Now, I just enjoy the moment and wait for the light to reveal itself. I spend half the time shooting and editing and end up with twice as many keepers!

Indeed! Its expected to be quite the winter here, I have heard. Great for photos, maybe not so great for driving.

It really did jump out at me! I didn't expect to capture much based on the time of day we went out. I am glad I had my camera in tow.
