Tropical Mockingbird

Another regular visitor. There is some sort of ficus tree that attracts lots of different birds looking to chow on the ripening fruits.

I'll try and get a shot. It has stopped since it got colder, so maybe further south? But it looks exactly the same.

I really like the shadows in this one! Mockingbirds are interesting characters in my experience. Self-appointed guardians of whatever back yard they visit.

Thanks. I usually try to catch the shot with light in the bird's eyes but I like this one, too.

They often "disagree" with other birds over who gets the top perch in the tree with much squawking and flapping!
