tryibg to find converter to fit Nikon lens for more zoom.

i have a d7100 with Sigma DC 17-70 mm F/2.8-4 OS AF HSM Lens For Nikon (C) lens.
I am trying to find the correct mount/converter in order to get more "zoom" out of this lens. Is there anything out there like this???

Do you mean you are looking for a tele-converter?

With a 2x TC you would be at f/8 and 140mm. Better option is a zoom lens that goes to 200mm or 300mm, such as the Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro and this lens is cheaper then their 2.0X Teleconverter EX APO DG by about $100.

That's what I figured I'm trying to find a 70 to 200 or 80 to 202.8 mm lens. Does anyone have an option other than Nikon that is still a very good quality but possibly save a few bucks

I'd think you would be unhappy with the reduced image quality of using a TC on a lens like that.

Yeah I am trying to find a good quality 2.8 lens that I could shoot some portraits/head shots and maybe some sports. I know of course 2.8 lenses are expensive but just an alternate besides the normal Nikon/sigma

Tamron, Sigma, Nikon all have 2.8 lenses
but they'll all be more than the standard variable aperture models, but worth it.
