Trying something new

Any thoughts? I normally go for huge dynamic range but this is the first time I have played with the colour mixer with the intent of reducing the range in the image.

I'm sure a decent sized print would look great, in a gentle and not-in-your-face kind of way.

On this version and the largest one on your Flickr pages I can see distinct banding in the sky. Is it my monitor? Looking at your other photos it doesn't look like it would be intentional.

I can see the banding too. Other than that, I really like this image.

hmm i can't see much banding.. but my current monitor isn't great for bright details. It probably just some jpeg compression.
I like the image and think it was worth going the more 'high key' way. :thumbup:
