Trying to Be Creative

Just messing around with my new umbrella. had to put it beside me and keep my flash on camera (triggers are late in the mail lol) and point it into it. C&C is always welcome

I like the first one more... I think you probably should have had your focus on the inside of the lens more though... and used a smaller aperture (higher f/#) to get more of it in focus...

the shallow DOF on the 2nd one looks like junk :/

I like the first one, i do agree with jeffie though. second one just doesnt it do it for me, the small amount of red liquid in focus just isn't too interesting. take my comments with a grain of salt as i'm just a beginner. btw what is the red liquid?

Thanks guys, I agree the first one is better. I was trying to be quick as to not get the stuff on my lens, but i did anyways lol.

its corn syrup and red food coloring lol.

What they said, the first one is good but the front element of the lens should be in focus. The second one is rather bland due to the whole lens being OOF.

Otherwise yes it is creative.
