trying to do better on landscape c&c

this was looking east as the sun was setting at Elk Mt, Wy.
I am just trying new things.

It has an abstract feel to it because there's not a lot of details or much to identify with. Honestly my eye goes to your signature because it's the area with the highest contrast (well that and the line of the mountain top and sky which is nice).

Traditionally landscapes demand good foreground, midground, and background elements. Your landscape differs from the usual methods. I've been trying different landscape styles too. I definitely think this style is more difficult to make a pleasing image.
