The simplicity of this composition has something "Japanese" to it (and now I hope I didn't say anything politically incorrect here) - it reminds me of Japanese flower arrangements that only come to true "life" with very few, but very wisely arranged elements. That's what I mean to say.
What is the word for this kind of traditional flower arrangement again? Ah, I remember: Ikebana.

Thanks everyone! Flashspeedo, I agree this scan is a tad soft, I am hoping the flower part will sharpen up just a bit when I print it. As for the grain, well that's just in my blood.
