wonderful sky detail,

Did you get the make & model of that car? It reminds me of an old Datsun that was my first car.

Awesome sky, it really helps set the mood

I love the colors, contrast, etc. However the composition of the photo could use some work. The horizon is in the middle and the car is also placed mid image vertically. A little rule of thirds could make the image a more interesting compositionally.

lol Is it ever sunny where you live?! :sexywink:

I loved all the elements that entered into the formation of this image

Rules are made to be broken, I personally think the composition is fine. I like the way the water draws the eye towards the dark trees and splitting the photo at the horizon gives the car and clouds equal importance. just my 2 cents

And it reminds me of the first car my wife totaled :lmao:

+1

But this is not my favorite photo by Invisible. I think I would try and lighten the car (or something) to make it pop a bit more.

Yes, it was a Toyota Corolla 1600. Someone from another forum told me that it looked like a model year 1971 or 1972.

When it's sunny, it's boring :)

I think this one (like most of my images) needs to be seen on a dark background. That's when the whole scene pops.

By the way c.cloudwalker, I took your advice and started contacting art galleries. I'm currently showing my work in one, and a second one is on the way. I even made a contact in Montreal with a gallerist with long-time experience in fine-art photography – she loved my stuff and put me under her wing; she says I'm not ready for prime time (which I already knew) but wants me on her radar for the next couple years to see how my work evolves. The price tags on the photos that she sells are in the $2,000-$8,000 range. So thank you, very much. I wouldn't even have thought about approaching galleries hadn't it been for you (and a couple friends who are artists).

Thanks for the feedback. When I compose, a scene just needs to feel balanced. Or unbalanced, if tension is what I'm going for. Sometimes I place the subject dead centre, on purpose, just like here. I know it won't please everybody, and it shouldn't.

Thanks everyone for your candid feedback!
