Original photo taken on one of the first days out with my Nikon 10-24mm, back in July 2014.

Can you explain what causes that effect? Is there a way to prevent it? Thanks in advance.
hello,

as far as I know a halo is caused mostly by pushing on sharpening and clarity effects .. here's some article Avoiding Image Halos — Duncan Fawkes .. I sometimes also have an issues with halo but I am somewhat sensitive on that so I always notice that and decrease the sharpening or I do fight the halo as in integral process of my postprocessing

Thanks again. I'll get to the article this afternoon.
