Two Deer Photos for c&c

Both of these photos were created minutes apart.I'm interested in what everyone thinks about the framing And composition.
All cc is welcomed ,but I feel a need for better comp.....Any suggestions ??

A bit too centered, but nice captures. The second one looks a bit malnourished

As for framing, I think #1 is ok... personally, I would flip/mirror it... #2... Might I suggest something like...

Also, as stated previously... focus could be better...Less DoF would help in my opinion (smallwe F#)... and maybe a bit more contrast...

OOF. next time ncrease shutter speed in situations like #2.

I would crop number 1 a little more closely. It seems to be a little too much dead space that isn't adding to the picture any. But I'm a noob so take that with a grain of salt.
