I spotted these two on June 1, 2019 at a celebration for the progress made on extending the subway system in L.A. The bulldog is perfectly capable of walking. His owner explained that "he just prefers to ride." (Old Joke, possibly told on Old Jews Telling Jokes: A women meets another woman pushing a boy about ten in a wheel chair. "Oh, how sad he can't walk," she says. "The Jewish Mother pushing him replies, "Oh, he can walk. Thank God he doesn't have to!" )

The bull terrier looked like he was just putting up with human's ideas of fun as best he could, and trying not to get involved with any of the silliness featherless bipeds get up to.
