I can take it!

I had to do "group" shots for my portrait photography class this week and the group had to be 2 or more people... So of course almost all my assignments are children, so here's what I got for this week

This is my fave of them together (Canon 40D, 17-85 f/3.5-5.6, f/8 1/125 ISO 100)

The pose in the 2nd shot bothers me.

Thanks :) I guess that was helpful :/

I guess I should mention that these aren't posed. I told them to play because I wanted candids. I caught them here and there and this is what I got :)

I think what he meant it bothered him was that it seems semi... polite thinking here... inappropriate... You being a female don't see things the same way a man does. This is a picture of a young female...

removed pic

Removed the 2nd photo because society sucks :)

Better?

removed the second photo since some males can't see the innocence of a 9 year old girl "posing" in a way that a lot of children like to......... Males never cease to amaze me... No wonder I'm happily single...

Well lets not stereotype the entire male population. :D I have kids and that pose is perfectly cute to me but I wouldn't want to post that picture of my little girl on the net. That's just reality these days.

Looks I came a little late, sort of interested to why it was bothering people. I hope that doesn't sound weird... haha.

Mods should delete this comment too. It's a bit inappropriate as well.

I said some males ;) I know not all males have that mindset ;)

Mods haven't deleted anything in this thread. I deleted my second image. The mods here don't intervene unless absolutely necessary.

We can let this thread die now because I can see it's going to become nothing but a train wreck. And after this post, I don't have anything else to say :)

Sorry to offend you, but like someone else said, I wouldn't want my child's picture on the INTERNET in that pose. Not sure why you have to come out and stereotype males because of my comment and then say you are happily single....please lol.

Remember, there are some creepy people on the internet and that picture would have been right up their alley.

What was the pose. Was it really that bad.

Jeffie......I'm a female and I was uncomfortable w/ the 2nd one. I know that it was an innocent shot but my eye was drawn to her butt instead of her face. So the shot was taken in good fun but just isn't a good pose.

The pose itself was not bad. Like the OP said it was just an innocent child in a "fun" pose. Nothing wrong with the photo itself. What is wrong is the amount of people in society that can and will perceive things in a way that is completely unintentional. There are quite a few people out there like this and it is sad that something so innocent can be completely taken the wrong way by people. Its better to just not let it happen at all than have even one person take it the wrong way.

To the OP, I am sorry for my comment if it offended you in any way. I have three children myself and while there was nothing wrong with the photo it is society in and of itself, and NOT just males. I think you did a great job capturing the innocent moment of two children at play.
