Two Phoenix Sunsets

For the first one I went back to Dreamy Draw Park, took a different view of SR51 and Phoenix.
The second one I was at Piestewa Peak (also part of Dreamy Draw) and took this near the top.

I'm not hot for these two. They're fine, but missing something. In the first, the lines of the highway don't lead anywhere except black space. Also, the city and the mountains aren't dominant enough to make my eye care about them. I think the second suffers from the same. The buildings are too small to be interesting, and the mountains are veiled in haze with makes them too diminutive.

Good point about the lines leading to nowhere.
And the Downtown shot was actually shot at the full 135mm... I will be going back today though to hike, I'll see the different views I can get.

You should check out the Wrigley Mansion... can get some pretty decent shots up there if the valet guys aren't busy.
