Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey all!

Here are two shots I really like from work over this weekend. I apprentice under a professional photographer here. I set up the lighting for this, shot them, and edited. I really try to keep my edits very natural. Hope you like them!

#1: Used natural light at mid day with a large 8'x10' white reflector camera left very tight.

#2: Shot in studio, softbox strips with grids 30 degrees behind model on each side, beauty dish high in front of model, 3'x4' softbox on floor in front of model.

Cheers!

Both are out of this world great. I'd like to see the first with about half a stop plus exposure bump.

Yes, that is simply gorgeous text overlay!!!!! That big, white, semi-transparent PROOF on the diagonal makes the images underneath sublimate so well! It's, it's well, it's hard to describe how much I like these two PROOF images. Some of the finest watermarking I've seen on this site in quite some time. Not many people appreciate a good, big watermark these days. You do good work!

I really do enjoy both images, however I think that the hip bone on the second image is distracting.

Hi Derrel,
While it distracts a bit from the image somewhat, I think we can all see the photo, the lighting, the model, and the overall intention. I can't blame the OP for protecting his work from being lifted.

I gotta agree with bennie, these are actually images that someone might want to steal. (That's my compliment. :) )

Thanks guys. Glad you like them.

Bennielou: I agree about the exposure, I think when I uploaded it the compression darkened it or something, because I pulled up the original file in PS and it is about a stop brighter. I'm not really sure why this copy went dark.

Derrel: I'm pretty sure you can still see through the giant watermark. It was either put them on the photo, or don't share. It would be pretty easy for someone to crop out my little personal watermark and steal the rest of the photo. I wouldn't like that, my client would like that, and then I wouldn't share photos anymore.

I've had people steal photos off my facebook, so i'm kindof anal about protecting myself.

lol Exactly what I saw. Beautiful girl!! But yeah.....you have to do something w/ the hip or the image doesn't work for me. And maybe I'm wrong on this one, but it does bother me that you clipped her elbow and her hands out. I know body parts don't always have to be complete, that it is a rule that can be broken, but if I noticed it.......it prolly means it was a distraction. (anyone else bothered by that?) I know you guys aren't even looking at her hands. lol:sexywink:

BTW.....these are great shots....I'm just being nit picky.....lol

Thanks Mishele! I appreciate it.

I have pretty much the exact same shot where her hands and elbows are in the shot, and it's not nearly as interesting of a photo for some reason.

What would you guys suggest to do with the hip? I'm not really sure how I would correct that?

Bored frustrated people are bored frustrated people. Can't get around it.

Very nice images, looks like you're working in a great learning environment.

Thanks! It is a great learning environment! I'm learning so much every day, and more than just about taking pictures. I get to learn all the business aspects behind photography. The lady I work for also puts on photography seminars so I get to work with/for amazing pro photographers and models.
