I worked as a makeup artist in the past, and it's amazing what a little eyeliner and mascara can do. I think she looks like she's wearing less makeup and had her hair done.

snerd, don't stop loving her because of that. She's still Uma. (Plus, Pulp Fiction was 20 YEARS AGO!)

That pale eyebrow look Uma went with has been pretty thoroughly derided by a number of makeup artists/stylists...it really is an unattractive look; having basically almost invisible eyebrows is a violation of long, long, long-standing cultural beauty standards in western civilization. Of course, it might be considered attractive on some other planets...but here on Earth, that dyed, pale eyebrow look is very trendy, but will soon wither and die. Having no eyebrow color basically leaves her face "anchor-less"...she looked like hell on the red carpet, no two ways about it. The reaction on social media and the internet was almost universally unfavorable. I read her MUA's attempt to justify the bad effort he dreamed up in a Yahoo News article...pretty weak sauce he was trying to pass off...failboat crash landing party survivors always report having gone on the cruise with the dream of a GREAT three-hour tour...

Uma's always had a bit of a taste for the outre looks. She's a sort of strange looking person to start with. With the right makeup, heavily done, she can look conventionally pretty. But she's not, she's otherworldly, always has been. Pretty? It's not even really a relevant word here.

I'm kind of glad to see her backing off the "make me look like every starlet" looks.
