They are great for splash situations, and maybe ok for use right at the surface, but I wouldn't want to actually go underwater with one. If you want something to go underwater, buy housing from Ikelite.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd do that unless they guaranteed your equipment. You might wanna look at the manufacturer of your camera. I know Canon has some housings for some of it's cameras.
