I often travel the back roads with my camera by my side most of the time I have no clue where I'll end up

I once ended up in mud so deep I had to walk all the way back to the nearest farm and have the farmer pull my car out with his tractor ...

The bright triangle of sky in this photo is somewhat distracting (to my mind) - somehow I'd wish from some kind of natural framing on that side, too...

That mud can be fierce at times and I worry about getting stuck thank goodness I havent yet "knock on wood" I have gotten stuck in a place I shouldnt have been I was looking for someone to get permission from and well the darn arm that held my driver side back tire on broke off the frame and I had to have it towed out of there. Oh some of the things and places we go just to get a good picture Thanks for your input

I kind's like this. My eye gets pulled to the center of the vortex. The processing is a little "muddy" but I like the concept.

I like your description and feel to the photo. The road appears to incline into the distance adding to the mystery.

As mentioned, more framing to the photo might be beneficial. A deeper shot into the path might produce the desired results, if possible.

I too like the shot but I get the feeling of slipping off the right side. Not sure if it is the perspective orientation or the road is severely canted in that direction...I just want to grab one of the trees before I get sucked into the background.

that is exactly what i was going for .

The road is on a hillside and i love that you want to grab one of those trees lol

By walking further along the path and omitting the tall trees on the right. The more distant trees might frame the photo better and you would eliminate the open space to the left.

I really like this shot. Love how you don;t see the end of the road and leads to believe that it is never ending.

Just for Esses and giggles...I tipped the road back to the right a hair, did some cloning here and there, increased the brightness a bit and gave a bit more definition to the fog on the left..good, bad, indifferent, it's just another POV and only worth the grain of salt you choose to give...or not.



It didn't translate as wel as I would have liked...but maybe you can see where I was going with this.

Ceeboy's edit works for me. I might leave a bit between the small tree in the lower left and the edge, and maybe darken the road between the tire tracks.

Quick edit .... I don't think you need the tree branches at the top....Nice image so work with it as it is worth playing with
