Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I think the idea was ok, if cliche, but I cant decide if I executed it properly. One minute I'll look at it and think its alright, the next it'll be the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

No pop up flash, btw, though it kind of looks that way. This was in my dorm room with its stupid lighting.

I like it as well and i like the above posters idea

I think you're close. My idea would have been one strobe on manual well back on very low power for detail illumination, and then a second, snooted strobe (or barn doors) to place a brighter (but not too bright) focus point on the hand. The idea of a light inside might be something to play with too. Nice mono conversion!

Well, I dont have strobes... I have two gooseneck lamps, though. :) Think I could rig something up? Maybe I'll try tonight... neither of them are real bright, though.

maybe try something more like this, imo it looks a bit more moody with a bit more drama, nice idea tho

I'd try to angle the light so you aren't getting that blowback on the left door.

You can still snoot your light, and aim it at the hand.

What he said.

I'm thinking a longer shadow off the hand would be fitting as well, to give it even more of a creepshow effect, and moving the light off to the side acommplishes both.

Snoot?

And hey, my flower towel (potholder, actually) is AWESOME. :) I did think about taking it away for this photo, but I figured that if a hand really did start creeping out of there, the potholder would still be there.

Post a high res original. Would be a very fun edit.
