Old shot I was never happy with. I go back and forth between liking the lines and feeling like it's an unfocused mess.
Maybe a bit of both. Tried a different processing approach. Thoughts?

I like it, but I also have that feeling that something is a little off. One thing is that there is more open space at the top and bottom, and I'm also not crazy about the sun being there, so I'd try cropping the top at the bottom of that black square in the upper right and the bottom almost up to the first horizontal line. On the other hand, this limits the "sweep" of the whole thing somewhat, so I don't know ...

I also suggest a crop and perhaps a bit more detail at the back...I did lose the toning but it's an easy enough fix.

ceeboy14's brightening of the images makes it at least bearable to look at...the dark versions you're showing are simply awful...just...awful. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I know of no other word that adequately describes my feelings for the original presentation. As originally shown, with the sun in the image, the photo is utterly in the wrong "key"...it just looks...dreadfully inept.

Not bad Ceeboy, but the brightness takes away as much as it fixes.

Meh. They're all different, but none really fix anything. Oh well.
Sometimes the only way to get old shots to work is to go back and shoot again.
