I have learned that tighter is not always better. I think these have sacrificed a better composition in the quest to get tighter framing. #4 reveals this nicely. Including some tree at the bottom would have done wonders for "context" As it is now it is a great idea that is lacking punch and impact. It really was a great idea the shadow thing but with out context it is incomplete.

Thanks for the comments.

The angel in #4 isn't hanging from a tree, it is sitting on the top of our couch to be 'staged' for this picture, hense the bottom being left out on purpose.

Any other comments?

Did you use a flash? Harsh shadows on 2 & 5 are distracting but I guess you wanted the shadow on 4.

The white background in 5 doesn't work well IMO.
