A D400(?) is in the works.
The D300s was a slight upgrade to the D300. The D300/D300s is at the end of it's product cycle.
The earthquake/tsunami in Japan, and subsequent massive flooding in Thailand seriously upset Nikon's new camera release schedule.

I see. I'm very happy happy with my nikon D300s. I have many DX format lenses, so I would like to stay with DX sensor. Thanks

Okay, so what happens with the D300 gets replaced with the D400, then the D500, D600... and then what? Can't be the D700...?

Maybe the next ones will be D310, D710... similar to how the D3000 and D5000 went to D3100 and D5100 rather than D4000 and D5000???
