yes, it's a serious bit of kit but a great performer. A lot of the best shots of widlife I've seen have been taken with the 500mm or the 600mm f4 L.

I'll get the 24-70 L next, that'll probably be it for a while

Also on my list, but I can get away with my 16-35mm and a long lens for the time being with what I shoot, though it would be a nice option to have.
