Upgrade from the Kit Lens.

I need a lens suggestion to replace my kit lens. I shoot with a 350 D, and have the crappy kit lens.

I also have purchased a 50mm 1.8 and a 75-300 Canon. I would just like to have something compact with a good zoom range (around 30-80) for normal everyday use. I could probably drop about 150-200.

I doubt in that price range that you'll find something much better than the kit lens.

I just found out the kit lens is EFS. So annoying.

Thanks Azuth. I like that Sigma ..I don't know how good it would be though..Anyone have any experience with this lense?

I walk with the 28-105 f/3.5.
I think I paid about $225 for it. They make a cheaper one that I think starts at an f4.

The 28-105 was the first lens I bought with the 20d (I opted out for the kit), and I was very happy using it as my primary, and only, lens.
