Upgrading to Nikon D200...NEF and JPEG simultaneously?

My friend is trading in his D80 for a D200 (I have no experience with nikons) and he asked me if the 200 can shoot JPEG and NEF simultaneously...and i'm suspecting yes...the online reviews say that it can only shoot one or the other...?
