look closely around your computer, most are coming out with SD slot built into the computer, nothing is faster than that, not even close. I took in 650 3M pixs ( close to 2G total ) in just a few minutes...but i'm working with a dual core and 1.5 gig of ram, that does help too......

My gf's uncle had a card reader / hard drive. He bought it in Korea but I haven't seen any here in the states. He'd take it around with him, and when his CF card was full he'd just pop it into the portable USB drive/card reader and upload all the pics into that. Anyone seen anything like this?

I recently got an Epson CX6000 printe/scanner/copier and it came with a built in reader, it is pretty quick, much faster than the clunky cables which I always seemed to lose, and the whole deal ran for about 100 dollars I think.

WOW!!! what do you think were all rich here!!! those are way out of my budget! $1.99 but honestly how reliable can 1.99 be. It's a cool product though

    It's a plug...some things don't need to be expensive.

I've had one for 2 years. It works.

I have this Compact Flash reader. I can transfer 300+ files from my XTi's card in a minute or 2 if that. I do have a pretty fast computer though.
