Uploading pictures

I was uploading my pictures to laptop and it would keep stopping and it would say skip photo unable to copy? Then it would say it each time a photo came up. ?? It would not copy them directly from my camera?? Please Help!!!

My first guess would be you are trying to copy to a nearly full hard/SSD/USB drive and there isn't sufficient space available to complete the copy operation.

Idea #2 is that whatever software that is being used for your camera isn't capable of handling files from your camera. This happens to a number of people that upgrade to the latest, best-est, greatest camera shortly after the camera comes to market and the software they are using hasn't been updated to deal with the slightly different file format of the new camera. Photo editing software from most vendors is perhaps 1-2 months from camera-on-the-street to their products support that new camera. If this is the situation, update your editing software to accommodate the new camera.

Idea #3 is the flip-side of #2...the operating system of your laptop doesn't correctly support your camera...ie, the device driver for your camera isn't available yet in, say, Windows 8.1. If that's the case, try doing an update on Windows.

If none of the above, please post information regarding what camera, computer operating system, and photo downloading / editing software you are using, and the exact text of the message being displayed and the program that displayed it.

I've uploaded pics before and it did ok ? I have a nikon 5200
When it says pictures loaded. I click on the picture. Then it says invalid picture???

Like he said.
You use the term 'it' a lot and that's a bit ambiguous.
Why not name the device as 'camera' or the 'laptop'.
And tell us what software you are using to upload the pictures.
