its nice some locations benefited from the shutdown. I would not have known about this beautiful place if not for Glacier being closed to you (?)

Thanks Nancy. yeah we were able to find some nice spots we would have never seen if the Tetons or Yellowstone parks had been open. another benefit is that great places like these don't have entrance fees heh

I was wishing I could go left a little to get those tree branches out of the frame but unfortunately I was right on the edge of a sheer drop-off.

Yup. It looks like the other side of river or more to the left might be a spectacular view. Great place and great capture. That 10 Stop ND filter does wonder to the waterfall. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

It is so nice to see a waterfall shot at an oblique and elevated angle, and well done to boot. :thumbup:
The D800E captures great detail.

The white cliffs top 1/3 center catch the eye, the eye moves right to the top of the falls, down at the falls, and follows the curved banks of the river and the white water down stream to the lower left.

The only part of the image I didn't really look at was the upper right corner.

@KmH thanks, that's kind of what I was going for, I wanted to keep the trees in the upper right a bit darker to not distract from the subject, and to help push the viewer's attention to the lighter areas in the same directionality of the flow of the water, top to bottom, right to left.

@ Wackii yeah I would have loved to get a better angle away from those branches, the river actually curves behind me and then starts heading to camera right (but behind the camera), and the opposite shore has a even taller cliff side along the whole route, I'd like to take some waders with me and get right in the center of the river to camera left of this image (assuming its not too deep), and get a shot from there, perhaps next time.
