Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
A shot I took last night. 2 YN 560s camera right and left at 45* through 24x24 softboxes. 1 SB-700 to my rear right for backlighting. Nikon D90 with 50mm 1.8. Shot at 1/200, f/11, ISO 320 (I think). Triggered with ML-L3 wireless remote.

Please offer C&C. Thanks for looking!

Darn...I was hoping it was gonna be Debra Winger....oh well...nice to see whatcha' look like, finally! For a long time I thought you were a Jeep...

I'm a jeep on weekends...

There isn't enough definition on the hat, especially given how bright your face is in comparison. Maybe a lighter background or more of a hair-light to bring out the hat?

I think I can bring out the hat some in pp. I will edit and repost.

it looks a bit cool from here. maybe warm it up just a little? i also think something other than a black background would help to bring the hat out some more.

I like the black background, and I think the hat is defined well enough, especially considering its size.

I do think however that the lighting may be a bit too much. Nearly even lighting on your face might be what you wanted, but IMO men photograph better in low key.

I suppose it depends on what you had in mind for this photo. It would work well in newsprint, for instance, just the way it is.

I think a bit of rim light would be nice.

Yeah, I tried to do that, but it didn't come out as I'd hoped it would. I will try again.

oh. you're one of THOSE people.

Huh?

Urban cowboy. Not just any urban cowboy - an east coast urban cowboy. I swear they should ban hats in some places. Make it a federal crime or something ;)

The edit looks weird to me, definitely the coolness is brought up some, but the overall contrast is starting to look a little lacking, also.
