Took a walk around downtown Columbus with a friend, as he was excited to put some more time in with his new wide angle (I forget which, apologies). I just thought I'd share, since I love unplanned urban shooting with the 135L. Thanks for looking.
Buildings old vs new, clock, guy leaning on Taxi cab are my faves. Good to see a distinctive yet small watermark, placed where it hardly impacts the image at all.
Were you going for subdued colors? If not it seems like they could use some post for the color. I like #1, 3 and 4. I probably would have never thought of framing 3 that way. 4 seems like it might benifit from having the whole clock in the frame. Nice use of DOF:thumbup:
I appreciate the comments. I've been on a subdued color kick lately, so that was part of the plan. The third shot was definitely a fun one, once I saw the opportunity.
Yes, I'm with Leila here: good you are on your subdued colour spree. I like it in urban photography. I also like your choice of subjects, framing of subjects (i.e. composition), and choice of aperture (particularly in 1, 2, 4 and 6).
Images #3, 4, & 5 are the ones that stood out to me. Great angles, framing, and very creative perspectives. Selected color tone works really well with these to. Congrats, kudos are well deserved.
