Been trying to get a decent shot of this guy for many months. Finally got one today. Unfortunately not in flight. I waited for half an hour for him to take off but no luck. After looking at some of the images I noticed some blood on his talons, he probably just finished a kill and was relaxing after his meal.

Cool.
Where is the Kestrel hanging out ... in Brampton ?

York University. There is a pair of them that make their home there. Usually I only find them flying fast high up. I have been trying to figure out what building they nest on.

AAAH, JR's right ... it ain't a Kestrel, my wife just showed me, wrong colours ... a Peregrine is even cooler !!!

Nice set but that is a peregrine falcon

You're right and I should know better since I have a shot of a kestrel in flight. Thanks for correcting me...again.

I'm getting used to him correcting me. And yes a Peregrine is cooler.

just the size alone is a big help for the id of falcons the juvenile peregrine falcon will be brown but look the same as the adults for the most part except colour

Nice capture.
