Use disk with GT740 installtion?

Just bought a NVIDIA GT 740 superclocked. Salesman suggested I go online and download latest drives, and not bother with the included disk. He said the online drivers would simply load over the disk data.
No big deal either way, but I'm wondering if he is right about that.?
Also, it's "superclocked", which is beyond what I need for photography work, but it was in stock and a good deal. I am wondering if 'super' means it will run hotter.
