Vanguard multi mount arm for tripods

Does any body have this item? I want to know if it can slide side to side off the center. I have called Vanguard and I was told no but I have a hard time believing it from the need for the center clamp.
I think I just got the easy answer. Can anybody confirm this who has one or used one. Manfrotto's arm moves side to side but at twice the price.

Well I ordered it hoping she was wrong. I saw a pic that led me to believe she was. I will post the result next week.

I recieved this already and could not be happier with it. It is made better than I expected and comes with a nice bag for it as well. The bar moves side to side as i suspected. I can't imagine the Manfrooto for twice the price could be much better.
