Variable ND Filter

Can anyone recommend a good variable ND filter? I am trying to find a variable ND filter for this weekend. There are several to choose from. I need this for a 77mm(70-200).

Also remember what you're trying to get variable.

The most you line up two polarisers at opposite angles, the more visible even the slightest manufacturing defects. I have on occasion used two polarisers to make a makeshift ND filter. It works to about ND4, but below that becomes unusable. They were cheap though.
