Vegas and the Grand Canyon! [Pic heavy!]

Another one of our quick weekend trips! We made use of a business trip and extended our stay to tour the lands.

Had a great time in Vegas and discovered just how difficult it is to photograph the Grand Canyon when the light is this harsh!

Vegas first, we stayed in the Cosmo and it was simply amazing.

Neon Museum, a cool stop if you're in town and want to learn about Vegas' sign history.

Hoover Dam! Honestly, it was smaller than I imagined!

Start of our 10+ mile hike through the Canyon. The colors were great and the scale was immense. I actually have quite a few more photo's that I haven't edited yet and I still feel that none really convey the size of the Canyon, you just have to go there.

Ok ok ok, last one I promise. A sunset shot. Can you spot the little man in red? THAT gives a slight feeling for scale here.

Hey-cool! Shots 7,8,and 11 really do show scale and size in neat ways.

Thanks Derrel! I tried hard to get that incorporated. I've seen SO many pictures of the Grand Canyon, especially right before I went, and NONE of them made me feel how vast it really is. So I tried to capture that but it is really tough to do!

Haha Vegas isn't for everyone. We spent a day and a half in the Canyon and saw the entire South Rim, it was amazing! Next time we will go down to the bottom.
