Doesn't do anything for me. I think there is to much detail if that makes any sense. However, I do like the subject and would be in favor of seeing some other images of him. Top and bottom crop lines seem a little off.

I like the subject also... the color, shadows, and contrast to me suggest that a different light source should be used... it looks like maybe you used a built in flash? but this may partly be from the contrast boost you used.

Mimstrel- Yes,i did use a built in flash. I have a Kodak P&S that I took the pic with.

Fantastic colouration. This looks like quite a mature Veiled?
The flash ruins it I think. It seems to bleach it out a bit. Maybe shoot without flash using a higher ISO? Shame you can't hook up an external with a diffuser.
