Hi everyone,
I'm a relative newbie, and it's obvious the next step to improving my photos is upgrading my flash. I'm looking at the 430EX and 580EX speedlites (the 580 is probably overly powerful for me now, but might as well get one I'll grow into so I don't have to buy another later).
I mainly take both indoor and outdoor pictures of my two children, 6 and 3, so for now I need to have a setup that is easy to carry and quick to assemble. I wanted to know whether you all would recommend using a stand/wireless transmitter/diffuser, or mounting the flash on the camera and using a reflector.
Any other tips for someone just venturing into flash photography would be welcome.
Best,
Shane
