Veteran's Portrait Project - #2/20

[tirediron]

Second one of the year, "official portrait" style this time... a little tougher as there wasn't room for a hairlight (the ceiling was literally at the top of the frame). As usual, comments, critique & suggestions appreciated.

Lt(N) Malcolm Conlon, MMM, CD

Looks good. I do not think a hair light would be all that necessary in this case.

Thanks man! The hairligh wasn't critical; I was able to pull enough detail out of the shadow that it works.

Nice shot......

Cheers!

Interesting face... makes me think he may have seen a lot. Nicely done capturing the personality.

Great image.

When did he take his commission?

 He's quite proud of his "smile", but you're right, he's been in for 34+ years, and has seen a bit.

Thanks Trev- just last December.
