View from Mt Phousi, Luang Prabang, Laos - vintage look

Nice, large view. Very interesting, rich in detail landscape. I don't know, what did you mean by saying "vintage" Did you refer to very warm tonality of this picture ? Or to quite soft sharpness ? With such a large vistas school of AA is showing its purpose. This picture I guess, was shot when in the air was a lot of humidity, horizon is unclear, sky blends with hills, there might be a lot of fog in far plan, it doesn't help (IMHO). Picture is not crisp, rather muddy, it lacks so called local contrast. Maybe the weather wasn't right, maybe it is your processing but if you gonna print it, hang on the wall and look from proper distance you will see hard to make out mass. What do you think ?

The haze is smoke from the burning off of vegetation from fields. This smoke blankets northern Laos during the burning season.

I agree that this isn't the kind of high interest shot to make me print and hang. For me it was an exercise to produce a shot that I wouldn't usually even take.

It seems quite dark in the bottom... Not dark as in underexposed, dark as in all dark tones...

I assume this is "vintage" because it's kind of sepia looking?
