Been playing around with vignette ... I really really like the effect, but maybe it's just because I've been looking at too many instagram photos  This was also shot in Seattle ... The grove of trees and colorful wall attracted me, so I took some time to shoot ... definitely hurt my neck, though.

Wondering if the vignette works for this photo ... general feedback also appreciated. ... I just realized the vignette was barely noticeable, haha.

thanks!

Doesn't seem to help any.

I like the shot.

It's really only barely noticeable in the top right corner, but looking at them side by side, I do have a slight preference for the vignetted version.

Okay, how about THIS? VIGNETTE OVERLOAD! :)

I just noticed that the vignette actually distorts part of the image -- I looked at it with and without the vignette, and the bottom left of the image seemed to stretch out ... The super vignette also allowed me to increase contrast a bit without making the sky look all blown out (since it's contrasted with the vignette)

I think that's a bit too much. I liked the first vignette version because you're right - it gave a bit more texture to that bit of sky on the top that was >< this close to being blown. Too much, though, and it looks forced. Less is more, darling ;)

Darn. I liked the dramatic effect :D Okay, okay. Toning it down a bit ...

Do you know why the distortion appears after I apply the vignette filter? It pops the image outward, kinda. It looks really cool on flickr, though -- with the black background.
