Waiting for Some Tasty Road Kill

Great detail!

Thanks, everyone! I had noticed this vulture sitting there as I turned onto my street, so I pulled over, grabbed the camera, and started approaching it on foot. I talked to it a little and it turned it's other eye towards me like "what's wrong with this human?" :)

Pretty sure even other birds think these are ugly.

Nice shot. I’ve always been curious about close up shots of these birds...surely the reason we don’t see more is that they are viewed as an ugly animal as evidenced by this thread. I’m not arguing that fact, definitely ugly as proven here. Lol. But great shot nonetheless.

Thanks! This was actually 15 yards of more away @ 300mm :)

It's usually the babies of animals that people respond with, "They're so ugly they're cute." Let's put that to the test with a baby vultures mug.
Give either a :05.18-flustered: or a :crushed:.

Eek, lol. Hard to love even a baby vulture :048:. Where does one find a baby vulture, I wonder? I just imagined eating vulture eggs and threw up a little...
